Nelson Torres

Nelson Torres is the current IT Director and CISO at Kawa Capital Management. Nelson has also previously served as the Director of Information Technology at Housing Trust Group, LLC from January 2018 to November 2019, and as the Information Technology Manager at Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group from September 2016 to April 2017. Furthermore, Nelson Torres has also been Head Geek In Charge at their own company, Torres Consulting Services, from January 2006 to March 2014, during which they were also a Senior Security Assesor. Prior to that, they were an Adjunct Information Security Professor at ITT Technical Institute from January 2010 to January 2012.

Nelson Torres completed a BS in Information System Security from ITT Technical Institute. They also have certifications from Cisco Meraki in Certified Meraki Network Operator, ISACA in Certified Data Privacy Security Engineer, and ISACA in Certified Information Security Manager. Finally, they have a certification from SherWeb in Microsoft Teams Certified.

Nelson Torres reports to Daniel Ades, Managing Partner. They are on a team with Lando Kravetz - CTO, Kristine Ascanio - Manager, Corporate Services, and Daniel Amer - Managing Director. and Alberto Palacio - Information Systems Administrator reports to Nelson Torres.
