Heather Hedges

Heather Hedges is a seasoned educator and curriculum specialist with extensive experience in both special education and curriculum development. Currently serving as a Curriculum and Assessment Specialist at Right to Learn Afghanistan since May 2024, Heather has also been an Itinerant Teacher for the Blind/Low Vision with Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board since February 2000, where responsibilities have included serving on the Research Advisory Committee to evaluate research projects within the school board. Previous experience includes a role as a Curriculum Resource Developer at the Ontario Ministry of Education from 2005 to 2015, focusing on mathematics resources and field-testing educational lessons. Heather holds a Master’s Degree in Mathematics Education from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto, along with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Psychology/Mathematics from Trent University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Queen's University.
