James Brake currently serves as the Superintendent of Education for First Nation, Metis and Inuit Education at Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board since October 2020. With a long tenure at Peterborough Victoria Northumberland and Clarington Catholic District School Board since September 2006, James has held roles as both Principal and Vice-Principal. Educational qualifications include a Master of Education specializing in Digital Technology from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, a Postgraduate degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from the Moray House Institute of Education at the University of Edinburgh, and a Joint Bachelor's Honours in History and English from Trent University. James completed secondary education at Bowmanville High School, earning the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).
