Hugo Garland

Hugo Garland is a Senior Chartering Executive in the Panamax division at "K" Line (Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd) since June 2019, contributing to one of the world's leading maritime shipping companies established in 1878. Prior to this role, Hugo served as a Business Development Executive at People Insight Ltd from 2017 to 2019, focusing on account management and growth in the maritime sector. Hugo's experience also includes positions as a Shipbroker in Dry Bulk, Panamax at SSY - Simpson Spence Young (2016-2017) and BRS Brokers (2014-2016), two of the industry's key independent firms. Educated at Loughborough University in International Relations and Sciences Po Lyon in International Relations and Politics, Hugo demonstrated leadership in athletics, including rugby and water polo, during academic pursuits.
