KAYA Climb
Marc Bourguignon has a diverse work experience. Marc co-founded and served as the Chief Technology Officer at KAYA Climb, a company that connects climbers and aims to change the sport of climbing. Prior to KAYA Climb, Marc founded Plastick LLC, a company that developed Routesetting technology for climbing gyms around the world, which later merged with Project 9a Labs, Inc. Marc also worked as a freelance web developer and software engineer, designing and deploying various web solutions for clients such as Shredly, The Case Foundation, and many more. Additionally, they co-founded Vertical Generation, a non-profit organization promoting diversity and inclusion in the climbing community. Marc gained experience in routesetting at Seattle Bouldering Project LLC and also worked as a software engineer at Microsoft and Pattern Insight.
Marc Bourguignon earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Washington, where they studied from 2008 to 2012.

Kaya Climb is a climber’s app designed to connect users with the gym and local climbing community and find and share beta. It enables climbers to build an ascent pyramid, and review past climbing sessions. The company was founded in 2019 when a crew of climbers and technologists got together to create a platform for the climbing community.
