Matthias Keller

Chief Scientist at KAYAK

Matthias Keller has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Matthias started their career as a Software Engineer at MRX Technologies, where they developed a wheel tracking system for high-speed trains. Later, they joined ETH Zurich as a Research Assistant, focusing on wireless sensing systems and data analysis. During their time there, they co-authored scientific papers, made presentations at conferences, and developed an open-source system for data visualization called Vizzly. In 2013, Keller joined KAYAK as an Analytics Engineer and later became the Security Architect. Matthias finally served as the Chief Scientist at KAYAK. Currently, they work as an Advisor at Insurify.

Matthias Keller completed their education with a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from the Technical University of Munich in 2006. Matthias then pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the same institution, which they completed in 2008. During this period, they also obtained an Honours Degree in Technology Management from the Center for Digital Technology and Management. Later, Matthias Keller went on to earn a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Engineering from ETH Zürich in 2013.
