Alan Schwartzseid obtained a B.A. from the University of Florida in 2004, a M.S. in International Business from Florida Atlantic University in 2005, and a J.D. from Nova Southeastern University in 2008. Mr. Schwartzseid initially practiced mortgage foreclosure law, and in 2010, joined Kaye & Bender n/k/a Kaye Bender Rembaum to concentrate in the area of community association assessment collection. In 2014, Mr. Schwartzseid left that employ to manage the collection department of Weiss Serota Helfman Cole & Bierman, and in 2018, moved to Central Florida where he spent several years as managing collection attorney and general community association counsel to over 500 communities, with Clayton & McCulloh, P.A.
In August 2022, Mr. Schwartzseid proudly returned to Kaye Bender Rembaum as a Firm Member and managing attorney of the firm’s Orlando, Florida office, where he assists clients in all facets of community association law. Mr. Schwartzseid is a member of the Condominium Committee of the Real Property Section of The Florida Bar and authored several chapters of the Homeowners’ Association and Condominium law books now pending publication via that Committee. He serves as Co-chair on its CLE development Subcommittee and was also appointed a member of the SB-4D Task Force by that Committee. Mr. Schwartzseid regularly lectures on Community Association law, is a Florida Supreme Court Certified County and Circuit Civil Mediator and focuses his mediation practice on community association-related disputes.
