Jim Baker

Jim Baker serves as chairman of the board of directors and is president and chief executive officer of KYN and KMF. Mr. Baker is a managing partner at Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors, L.P., and is co-head of the firm’s energy infrastructure marketable securities group, where he is responsible for overseeing investment strategies and providing portfolio management.

Prior to joining Kayne Anderson in 2004, Mr. Baker was a director in the energy investment banking group at UBS Securities LLC. At UBS, he focused on securities underwriting and mergers and acquisitions in the midstream industry. Mr. Baker began his career in the energy investment banking group at PaineWebber Incorporated in 1997.

Mr. Baker earned a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin in 1995 and an M.B.A. in Finance from Southern Methodist University in 1997.
