Aidar Darmesh

Aidar Darmesh is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in procurement and contract management within the mining and metals sector. As a Procurement Manager at KAZ Minerals since April 2015, Aidar has successfully managed budgeting and readiness of spare parts for a $1.2 billion mine plant commissioning and overseen contractor management on major capital expenditure projects. Aidar's previous roles include Contract Manager and Commercial Analyst in Copper Mining Projects at KAZ Minerals, where key achievements included adapting feasibility studies to national standards and implementing efficient processes for goods receipt and defect rectification. Prior to this, Aidar worked as an Associate at Norton Rose Fulbright, providing legal advice in Corporate Finance and handling significant transactions like the £12.5 billion sale of EE. Aidar holds a Master of Applied Science in Supply Chain Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Laws from The London School of Economics, among other advanced qualifications in project management and arbitration.
