Robert Boyd

Robert Boyd is an experienced mining professional with a strong background in mine management and technical engineering. Currently serving as Mine Director - Projects at KAZ Minerals, Robert is focused on the development and commissioning of one of the largest undeveloped copper deposits in the world, utilizing advanced technologies such as remote-controlled excavators and autonomous haul trucks. Robert has held various leadership roles, including Technical Director and Chief Mine Engineer at KAZ Minerals, and Principal Mine Consultant at MEC Mining, where expertise encompassed technical guidance, process improvement, and project audits. Previous positions at OZ Minerals, Downer EDi Mining, and other industry firms have honed Robert's skills in operational planning, safety management, and continuous improvement. Robert holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) from The University of Queensland and a Certificate III in Information Technology from TAFE NSW.
