Steven Kazan has extensive legal experience spanning several decades, with notable expertise in asbestos litigation since founding Kazan Law Firm in 1974. Under Kazan's leadership, the firm has gained a nationwide reputation for representing hundreds of clients suffering from cancer, particularly mesothelioma, across the United States and internationally. Prior to establishing Kazan Law Firm, Kazan served as an associate at Werchick & Werchick from 1971 to 1974, specializing in plaintiffs' medical malpractice litigation. Earlier in their career, Kazan worked as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Civil Litigation Division of the Northern District of California from 1969 to 1971, representing various government entities, and as an Assistant to the General Counsel at the Interstate Commerce Commission from 1967 to 1969, where Steven successfully briefed and argued numerous cases, including four before the United States Supreme Court. Kazan holds a LL.B. from Harvard Law School and a A.B. in Politics and Economics from Brandeis University.
