Matthew Damick

Matthew Damick has a diverse work experience in the field of Quality Engineering. Matthew is currently serving as the Associate Director of Quality Engineering at KBI Biopharma since 2022. Prior to this role, they were the Principal Quality Engineer at Curium Pharma from 2021 to 2022.

Before joining Curium Pharma, Matthew worked at Novartis Gene Therapies as a Senior QA Engineer from 2019 to 2021. Matthew also gained valuable experience at KBI Biopharma where they served as the Manager of Quality Engineering from 2015 to 2019. In this role, they led the Quality Engineering team and oversaw various areas including Facilities Engineering & Automation, Manufacturing Sciences & Technology, Laboratory systems, and IT. Matthew was also responsible for upgrading the change control process and proposing process improvements.

Prior to their time at KBI Biopharma, Matthew worked at Tolmar Inc. as a QA IT Specialist from 2013 to 2015. Matthew was involved in the development and execution of computerized systems lifecycle and qualification programs. Matthew also served as the system administrator for Quality System EDMS.

Matthew's earlier career includes roles at TerumoBCT as a Process Validation Lead/Engineer IV from 2011 to 2013, Amgen as an Automation Program Manager/Senior Validation Engineer from 2003 to 2011, Pfizer/Pharmacia as a Computer Validation Manufacturing Professional from 2002 to 2003, Washington Group International as a Validation Specialist from 2000 to 2002, and Serentec as a Contract Validation Engineer from 1999 to 2000.

Throughout their career, Matthew has gained extensive experience in quality engineering, automation, validation, and change control processes across various industries and companies.

Matthew Damick earned a HS Diploma in Science, Mathematics, and Instrumental Music from Mansfield Sr. High School from 1990-1992. Matthew then went on to receive a BS in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University from 1994-1999. Prior to this, they attended Oceanview High School from 1988-1990.
