Neil Sumpter

Neil Sumpter is a Project Director at KBR, currently overseeing the SOCAR Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery Modernisation and Reconstruction Project in Baku, Azerbaijan. With over 25 years of experience in the engineering and construction contracting industry, Neil has held various project and corporate management roles at M. W. Kellogg Ltd and KBR. After starting as a process engineer, Neil earned a Master’s Degree in Project Management from Cranfield University and progressed to manage significant projects, including LNG import and regasification terminals. Notably, Neil served as the project controls manager for the multi-billion dollar Pearl GTL project in Qatar and was instrumental in developing project management procedures at KBR.
