Brian Ford

Brian Ford, CFA has extensive experience in the finance industry. Brian is currently the Managing Director and Head of Structured Finance Research at KBRA since February 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Director and Head of Structured Finance Research at KBRA from June 2017 to February 2022.

Before joining KBRA, Brian worked at Barclays Investment Bank as a Vice President, Credit Strategy | Structured Credit from March 2015 to June 2017. Their role involved being the primary research analyst for consumer and esoteric asset-backed securities (ABS), including sectors such as auto-related, credit card, student loan, equipment, and other non-mortgage ABS sectors.

Prior to their time at Barclays, Brian worked as a Director at Kroll Bond Rating Agency, Inc. from October 2010 to March 2015. Brian was responsible for rating analysis in non-traditional ABS sectors, including aircraft, helicopter, marine container, railcar, shipping, and other esoteric ABS types.

Brian began their career at Citi, where they worked as an Analyst from July 2008 to October 2010. Brian also gained experience as an Equity Research Intern at Eaton Vance in 2007.

Overall, Brian Ford has a well-rounded background in structured finance research and analysis, with expertise in a wide range of ABS sectors.

Brian Ford, CFA completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Economics from Connecticut College, where they studied from 2004 to 2008. In November 2014, they obtained the CFA Charterholder certification from the CFA Institute.
