Florian Pescher has a diverse work experience. Florian currently works as a Software Engineer at Kbrw since February 2021. Prior to that, they were a PhD student at FEMTO-ST Institute from October 2017 to December 2020, where their research focused on self-reconfiguration of autonomous micro-robots for programmable matter. During their PhD, they made contributions in automobile parts design with the use of programmable matter, NURBS shape description for modular robots, and algorithm computing an assembly order for micro-robots. Florian also published two papers on their research.

Before their PhD, Florian had a research internship at the University of Colorado in 2017. And in 2016, they had an internship at DPD France.

Florian Pescher completed their PhD in Computer Science from UBFC - Université Bourgogne-Franche-Comté between 2017 and 2020. Before that, they pursued an Engineering Master's Degree in Computer Science from CentraleSupélec from 2014 to 2017. Florian's educational journey began with a French "Classe préparatoire aux grandes écoles" in Theoretical physics and mathematics at Lycée Marcelin Berthelot from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a French "Baccalauréat scientifique" from Lycée Martin Luther King in 2011.
