Marsha Voelker has a diverse work experience in the dental field. Marsha is currently working as the Director of Oral Health Operations at KC CARE Health Center, a role they have held since December 2023. Prior to this, they were the Oral Health Manager at the same organization from March 2022 to December 2023. Before joining KC CARE Health Center, Marsha worked as the Dental Department Outreach Supervisor at a previous organization from August 2021 to March 2022. Marsha earned a Certificate in Dental Assisting in 1998, a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene in 2003, and a Master of Science in Dental Hygiene Education in 2005. Prior to attending UNC-Chapel Hill, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Pfeiffer University in 1994. Additionally, Marsha has obtained various certifications, including as a Registered Dental Hygienist from the North Carolina Dental Hygiene Board in 2003 and from the Kansas Dental Board in 2018, as well as a Certified Dental Assistant from the Dental Assisting National Board in 1998. Marsha has recently received a certificate in Dental Infection Prevention and Control from the Dental Assisting National Board in 2024.
