Rio Franzman

Rio Franzman has a range of experience in various roles within the environmental and wildlife fields. Rio has most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer at KC Harvey Environmental, LLC since September 2021. Prior to that, they were a Co-Owner of Kid Curious, LLC starting in March 2019. Rio also held positions at SWCA Environmental Consultants from 2015 to 2021, including Director and Natural Resource Team Lead. Before that, Rio worked as a Branch Manager and Environmental Scientist at Habitat Management, Inc. from 2011 to 2015. They also have experience as an Environmental Scientist at AXM Environmental and Utah State University. Earlier in their career, Rio worked as a Natural Resource Crew Leader/Lead Range Technician at the Bureau of Land Management and as a Custom Media Specialist at LearnKey.

Rio Franzman earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Southern Utah University, which was obtained between 2006 and 2011. Later, from 2020 to 2023, they pursued an Executive MBA in Business Administration and Management from the University of Wyoming College of Business. In addition to their formal education, Rio has also obtained various certifications, including Technical Writing from The Shipley Group in April 2015, DOT Supervisor Drug & Alcohol Awareness Training from the Wyoming Department of Transportation in January 2015, Safeland certification from PEC Safety in March 2014, Basic First Aid/CPR from the American Red Cross in February 2013, MSHA certification from the U.S. Department of Labor in May 2012, and SGS Standard 11 certification from SGS, also obtained in May 2012.
