Michael Thomas

Michael Thomas has a diverse work experience in the architecture and construction industry. Michael is currently the Vice President of Design Services at KCG Companies since April 2022. Prior to this role, they worked as the Director of Architecture at TWG Development, LLC from September 2016 to April 2022. Michael also has experience as a Plan Production Architect at Signature Construction from July 2015 to September 2016 and as a Managing Architect at Herman & Kittle Properties, Inc. from August 2012 to July 2015. Before that, they were a Project Manager/ Field Supervisor/ Sales at Abelard Construction, Inc. from August 2011 to August 2012. From January 2009 to August 2012, they owned and operated their own architectural firm, Michael Thomas Architecture, LLC, offering personalized services and collaborating with contractors and other architects. Michael also has worked as a Registered Architect and Project Manager at Peacock & Lewis Architects from February 2008 to October 2008, and as a Project Manager at Merrill, Pastor, & Colgan Architects from July 2004 to February 2008, gaining exposure to various project types and design stages. Throughout their career, Michael has led teams, created applications for low-income housing tax credits, prepared construction drawings, and acted as the Architect of Record for projects totaling over $100,000,000 in construction value.

Michael Thomas attended the University of Notre Dame from 1998 to 2003, where they obtained a Bachelor of Architecture degree. In terms of additional certifications, they have obtained licenses as an architect in multiple states, including Oregon, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, Missouri, Washington, Iowa, North Carolina, Kentucky, South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Georgia, Michigan, Alabama, Wisconsin, Louisiana, Ohio, and Indiana.
