Adam Rickey

Adam Rickey, P.E., CPD has extensive work experience in the field of engineering, particularly in the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection disciplines. Adam has held various leadership positions throughout their career.

From 1999 to 2003, Adam worked as a Summer Intern at The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company.

Starting in 2005, Adam worked at Leach Wallace Associates as a Mechanical Engineer and later as a Project Engineer. In this role, they designed projects for healthcare facilities, including renovations, fit-outs, and new buildings. Adam also performed various calculations for water systems, airflow, and heating/cooling loads.

In 2014, Adam joined RTKL as a Sr. Design Engineer, where they performed commissioning duties on a Data Center and worked on the renovation of a DX equipment Data Center.

Also in 2014, Adam joined TAI Engineering as a Sr. Mechanical Engineer/Project Manager and later became the Group Manager. In these roles, they led a team of engineers and designers, overseeing the design and documentation of mechanical utilities, plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection systems. Adam also provided extensive field surveys, energy studies, and construction oversight.

In 2016, Adam started working at KCI Technologies, Inc. Initially, they served as the Regional Practice Leader and Senior Associate, responsible for strategic business development, staff development, and operations management. Later, they became the Vice President and Regional Practice Leader for the MEP/FP/Energy discipline, leading the company's operations in that area. Most recently, they held the position of Vice President and Discipline Manager, responsible for the design, business development, and operations of the MEP Discipline.

Adam has also been involved with the ACEC CAMEE Executive Committee since 2017, serving in various roles such as Committee Member, Chair Elect, and currently as the Chair. The committee represents mechanical and electrical engineering firms, focusing on improving business practices, reducing liability, and increasing profitability.

Throughout their career, Adam has demonstrated leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to professional development in the engineering industry.

Adam Rickey, P.E., CPD attended the University of Maryland Baltimore County from 1999 to 2004, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 2019, they completed a program at Leadership Howard County. Adam also holds various professional certifications, including Professional Engineer licenses from multiple states and certifications in CPR and Certified Plumbing Designer.
