Henrikki Mertaniemi

Henrikki Mertaniemi is a seasoned technology manager with extensive experience in project management and research and development focused on cellulose-based and nanocellulose products. Current role as Technology Manager at KCL since January 2023 follows nearly a decade of service at Xylocel and Betulium, where Henrikki oversaw application development projects and conducted research in medical and pharmaceutical applications. Academic background includes a Doctor of Science in Technology and a Master of Science in Engineering Physics from Aalto University, complemented by hands-on research as a graduate student and research assistant. Early career experience also includes CAD/CAM programming at Multilaser Oy.
