Deborah Baeder, LC has a diverse work experience spanning from 2012 to 2022. Deborah started their career as a Python Teaching Assistant at the Department of Computer Science at Iowa State in 2013, where they monitored and aided students with their Python programming language knowledge. Deborah then worked as a Student Recording Engineer at the Department of Music and Theatre at Iowa State in 2014. Deborah also served as an Electrical Engineering Intern at Innovative Lighting in the same year, where they analyzed lighting control systems and conducted testing.
In 2015, Deborah worked as a Lighting Design Intern at MODUS Engineering for Architecture, where they drafted lighting plans and gained knowledge of photometric modeling software. Deborah then joined RDG Planning & Design in 2016 as a Junior Architectural Lighting Designer. Their responsibilities included building 3D lighting photometric models, developing construction documents, and assigning electrical systems to power panels.
From 2020 to 2022, Deborah worked at Igor, Inc. as a Lighting Control Systems Designer. Their role involved creating control layouts and submittals for PoE lighting control projects, as well as assisting during the bidding, design, permitting, and construction phase.
Currently, Deborah is working as an Electrical Engineer at KCL Engineering since March 2022. Their responsibilities include conducting field surveys, performing code research, and coordinating design and contract documents according to schedule.
Deborah Baeder, LC obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University, where they studied from 2011 to 2015. In January 2023, they also obtained a certification as a Lighting Certified (LC) from the NATIONAL COUNCIL ON QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE LIGHTING PROFESSIONS INC.
