Elona B.

Elona B. has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Elona is currently working as an Account Manager at KDx Diagnostics Inc. Since July 2022.

Prior to their current role, Elona worked as a Co-Supervisor Virtual NICU at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital from August 2020 to July 2022. Elona collaborated with the NICU Child Life Services at New York Presbyterian hospital Columbia University Covid-19 Student Service Corps volunteers to establish the virtual NICU, utilizing HIPA approved telemedicine to enhance caregiver access to newborn babies receiving treatment in the NICU.

Elona also worked as a Graduate Researcher at Columbia University Department of Cell Biology and Pathology from October 2019 to October 2020. Additionally, they served as a Medical Assistant at Ramblc Pediatrics from May 2019 to September 2019, where they supported physicians and nurses by assisting with patient care and administrative tasks.

Elona gained teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant for General Chemistry Laboratory at the University of San Diego from August 2016 to August 2020. Elona also served as an Organic Chemistry Teaching Assistant from August 2017 to May 2019, and as a Torero Tour Guide from January 2017 to May 2019.

During their time at Nordstrom from May 2014 to August 2019, Elona worked as a Sales Support member in the Brass Plum department, providing exceptional customer service and actively participating in fashion merchandising activities.

Elona's involvement in student outreach and advocacy includes roles as a Student Brand Ambassador at Kaplan from November 2017 to May 2019, a Student Brand Ambassador at Kaplan from January 2016 to May 2019, a University Minister Ambassador for Catholic Relief Services at the University of San Diego from April 2016 to May 2018, and a Writer for The Odyssey from January 2016 to May 2018.

In 2014, Elona served as an Organizing Fellow for the Mike Honda for Congress campaign, volunteering in activities such as canvassing, managing a phone bank, and training new volunteers.

Elona B. completed their high school education at Presentation High School from 2011 to 2015, earning a High School Diploma. Elona then pursued their undergraduate studies at the University of San Diego from 2015 to 2019. At the university, they majored in Biology and Political Science. Following their undergraduate studies, Elona B. joined Columbia University in 2019 to pursue a Master of Science degree in Human Nutrition, which they completed in 2020.
