Katherine Gallagher

Katherine Gallagher has a diverse work experience history, starting with their current role as the Senior Vice President for Student Success and Special Counsel to the President at Kean University, which began in July 2022. Prior to this position, they served as the Deputy Chief of Staff at Kean University from August 2020 to July 2022.

Before joining Kean University, Katherine worked at the New Jersey Department of Education. Katherine'sroles at the department included Deputy Assistant Commissioner, Field Services from September 2019 to August 2020; Division Director, Office of Comprehensive Support from August 2016 to August 2020; Assistant Division Director, School Improvement from September 2014 to August 2016; and Project Manager/Data Specialist, Regional Achievement Centers from September 2012 to September 2014.

Earlier in their career, Katherine was a Project Manager for the School Improvement Grant at Roselle Board of Education from September 2010 to September 2012. Katherine also worked at Millennium Strategies, where they held the position of Director of Grant Operations from January 2011 to September 2011 and Grants Manager from June 2008 to February 2011.

Katherine Gallagher holds a J.D. degree from Rutgers Law School and a B.A. degree in English and Sociology from Rutgers University. Katherine also obtained a certification in "Mastering Design Thinking" from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2020.
