Shon Barenklau

Shon Barenklau is an accomplished media professional with extensive experience in editorial and management roles. Currently serving as Regional Managing Editor at Lee Enterprises since February 2021, Shon also holds the position of Editor at Kearney Hub, a role undertaken since February 2018. Prior experience includes serving as General Manager at Central Weekly Group from March 2013 to February 2018 and GM at BH Media Group from August 1985 to February 2018, where oversight of multiple media operations in western Iowa and eastern Nebraska was provided. Additionally, Shon was President/Publisher at Papillion Times from August 1997 to January 2004, managing all aspects of a weekly newspaper. Shon holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Kansas, earned between 1981 and 1985.
