Edward I. Rivin

ddie Rivin practices in the Business Representation & Transactions Group, where he assists public and private entities in the tax and business planning areas. Utilizing his background in accounting, Eddie’s goal in servicing his clients is to distill the complex and ever-changing tax rules into practical business advice.

On the tax side of his practice Eddie counsels individuals, corporations, S corporations, partnerships, and 501(c)(3) organizations through the complex world of tax planning. Eddie also represents clients with tax controversy matters before the Internal Revenue Service and state taxing authorities. Eddie also has extensive experience with Ohio property tax law and has appeared before many Boards of Revision across Ohio.

On the corporate side of his practice, Eddie counsels clients on various considerations of business formation, corporate governance, restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, and business exits.

Prior to joining KMK Law, Eddie was an associate at a prominent U.S. law firm with a significant presence in the Midwest.

Eddie earned his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, cum laude, and his B.A. in Accounting from the University of Cincinnati Carl H. Lindner College of Business, summa cum laude.
