Sang Lee started their work experience as a Surgical Resident at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard School of Med in 1993. Sang then joined Weill Cornell Medical College in 2001 as a Fellow in Colon and Rectal Surgery, eventually becoming the Vice Chair of Colon & Rectal Surgery and Associate Professor of Surgery. In 2015, they joined Keck Medicine of USC as the Chief of Colon and Rectal Surgery and Professor of Clinical Surgery. Most recently, in 2019, Sang Lee became the Co-Founder of GUARD MEDICAL.

Sang Lee completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biomedical Engineering at The Johns Hopkins University from 1985 to 1989. Following that, from 1989 to 1993, they pursued a degree in Medicine (MD) at New York Medicine Jobs.
