Ignacio Mendez-Nunez has a diverse work history spanning multiple industries. Ignacio began their career as a Cana Cafe employee in 2011 and later worked as a Compost Tea Intern at UC Botanical Gardens. In 2012, they became a Sales Assistant at Alter Eco Fair Trade, where they managed inventory and assisted in customer service and orders. Ignacio also contributed to sustainability efforts by calculating the company's Carbon Equivalent Emissions and offsetting them through reforestation projects. In 2013, Ignacio worked as a Belay Staff member at Touchstone Climbing and later joined Descendientes de J. Palacios as an Enology Intern, gaining experience in winemaking processes and vineyard work. In 2015, they worked briefly as a Warehouse Worker at Ramondin before becoming a Cellar Intern at Kosta Browne Winery, where they performed various tasks related to wine production and facility maintenance.
