Wendie Bloxsom

Wendie Bloxsom is an accomplished educator and multi-media artist with extensive experience in visual arts instruction and creative production. Currently serving as an IB Visual Arts Teacher at Sutherland Elementary School since August 2021, Wendie has previously held teaching positions at Morgan Park High School, where responsibilities included leading Grade 12 and establishing connections with the local art community, and Dewitt Clinton Elementary, where Wendie co-directed a new visual arts program. In addition to educational roles, Wendie has maintained a long-term position as a Multi-Media Artist at Kehoe Designs, producing large-scale props and backdrops for significant events. Wendie's educational background includes a Master of Arts in Teaching from Columbia College Chicago and a Bachelor of Fine Art in Design, also from Columbia College Chicago. Other past roles have included administrative support at Frank Ponterio Interior Design and visual marketing at Macy's State Street.
