E. Young Song

Board Member at KEI

E. Young Song is a Board Member at KEI, and has been with the company since October 2018. Prior to KEI, E. Young Song was the CEO/Enterprise Architect at Kei Consulting. There, they worked on the Hana Bank next generation ISP project with KPMG, and was responsible for defining the RFI subjects and requirements of DBMS(Oracle 19c, ADW/RDW, OSS DBMS) and CI/CD(DevOps) for the project. E. also provided digital transformation consulting for startup companies, such as intuworks.co.kr, twee.co.kr, zim-zom.com, and This Stop. In addition, E. Young Song proposed AI/Deep Learning models for Pet eye/skin disease (No. 2) & Sports/Dance move(No. 32) of 2021 NIA AI trained dataset project.

E. Young Song is also experienced in leading large projects as a Chief Cloud Enterprise Architect. E. was responsible for transferring 156 applications/tasks from IBM 5 AS400(132 cores)/AIX(34) to Cloud as part of Hyundai Merchant Marine's Cloud Project (40+ members). The migration rate achieved was 97%. E. also led the Technical Architect, Data Architect, and Application Architect groups during the POSCO MES(Manufacturing Execution System) 3.0 MSA project. During the project, they classified 500 microservices based on Spring 5 Application framework and Pivotal Cloud Foundry, and defined and extracted 10+ database functions(DB link, 2 Phase commit, Sequences) into API.

E. Young Song has also served as a Project Manager on several high-profile projects. E. managed Daum Kakao's Cafe/Ads/Membership databases' migration from Oracle RAC(30+ DB instances) to Open Source DB, MySQL and EnterpriseDB. E. was also responsible for pre-sale and PoC for saving the at least 3~5% IT expense (about 1 Billion) by the Software AG Aris and Alfabet for IT portfolio/asset management during Samsung Electronics' (Semiconductor division) ITPM project.
