Jim Smucker

Jim Smucker is an experienced professional with a strong background in both higher education and the hospitality industry. Currently serving as President of Keim since June 2019, Jim Smucker also owns Bird-in-Hand Corporation, specializing in hotel and restaurant operations in Lancaster, PA, since 1984. Previously, Jim Smucker held key leadership positions at Eastern Mennonite University, including Vice President of Enrollment and Student Life and Vice President and Dean of the School of Graduate and Professional Studies, where responsibilities included overseeing various academic and student services and teaching graduate courses in leadership. Additional roles included Scholar in Residence at Eastern Mennonite University and adjunct professor at Lebanon Valley College. Jim Smucker possesses a Ph.D. in Management from Walden University and has earned a Master's in Business Administration from the University of Scranton, along with a Bachelor's degree from Goshen College. Additionally, extensive certifications in nonprofit leadership, conflict transformation, and various related fields complement Jim Smucker's academic and professional qualifications.
