Shyama Perera

Shyama Perera is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the electric cable industry, currently serving as Senior Manager of Technical Operations at Kelani Cables PLC since August 2003, where responsibilities include product feasibility analysis, product development, and oversight of quality management and sustainability. Prior to this role, Shyama held the position of Manager of Technical Service, focusing on the design and development of cables, as well as providing technical training and literature. Before joining Kelani Cables, Shyama worked as an Electrical Engineer at the Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau, responsible for the design, inspection, and certification of electrical systems for high-rise and large construction projects. Shyama holds a Master of Business Administration in Management of Technology, a Post Graduate Diploma in Energy Technology, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, all from the University of Moratuwa.
