Joel Kelder received a Bachelor of Arts-Architecture from Deakin University in 2002 and a Master of Architecture from The University of Queensland in 2007. Joel started his career working as an undergraduate in the North Queensland office of Peddle Thorp Architects. Joel was a key team member in several Civic, Institutional and residential projects. Nearing the end of his studies Joel moved to BVN Architecture in Brisbane. At BVN Joel worked on a number of high profile projects within the city of Brisbane including a key role in the Brisbane International Airport terminal expansion project. He has also proved his abilities as an emerging designer by receiving a significant national competition win in 2007 and again in 2009 he secured a finalist position in a major international completion with Chris Clarke. In 2010 Joel moved to the position of Project Leader at Rothe Lowman White Architecture, where he was involved in several high-end multi residential developments. In 2013 he joined forces with his brother Wesley to continue the development of Kelder Architects.
