Prior to this, Merle worked as a Realtor at Coldwell Banker from June 1985 to June 1995, focusing on the Buckhead, Vinings, and Sandy Springs communities. Merle holds a Bachelor's degree in Education from Emory University, earned between 1957 and 1962.
