Kenneth O. Corley

Managing Partner, Houston at Kelley Drye & Warren

Kenneth Corley is managing partner of the firm’s Houston office. His practice is focused on litigation and trial advocacy, with an emphasis on environmental and business disputes in state and federal trial courts.

Kenny’s environmental practice includes representing energy companies, major transportation corporations, private litigants, area businesses and governmental entities in disputes. His representation has ranged from significant pollution events to historical contamination of area industrial properties and real estate. Kenny also defends energy sector clients against Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and state environmental agency enforcement actions, as well as defends industrial clients in Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) Superfund sites. Kenny served on the team representing the state of New Jersey in major litigation concerning dioxin contamination of the Passaic River, resulting in one of the most significant cost-recovery and damages settlements ever obtained. Kenny currently represents the San Diego Unified Port District as lead trial counsel in public nuisance litigation arising from polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) contamination of San Diego Bay. Further, Kenny serves governmental and industry clients dealing with challenges resulting from PFAS, PFOS and AFFF contamination.

Kenny’s commercial litigation experience is also broad and deep, encompassing actions involving complex contract disputes, energy-related litigation, fraudulent transfer and alter ego claims, negligence, personal injury, fraud, tortious interference, defamation, trade secret and noncompetition disputes, partnership disputes, director and officer liability, and real estate disputes.

Notably, Kenny delivers effective and proven trial skills, particularly involving high-stakes jury trials. No matter the client or the case, Kenny focuses on client objectives, not just the litigation process. As a result, Kenny designs litigation and trial strategies that pursue each client’s unique expectations and litigation needs.
