Director of Enterprise Applications & Integrations at KELLEY KRONENBERG, P.A

Timothy Shields is a Partner in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office and concentrates his practice on Data Privacy and Technology and Social Media. He is also the Director of Enterprise Applications & Integrations for the firm.

In his practice, Timothy represents software companies, social media influencers, and content creators in managing their unique business and personal legal requirements. He also counsels clients on cybersecurity and data privacy issues such as FTC, FERPA, and HIPAA.

As Director, he is responsible for the management and coordination of development, training, maintenance, and integration activities for IT services and systems. He is also responsible for customer-developed applications to facilitate the business processes of the firm and improve the end-user experience.

Prior to joining Kelley Kronenberg, Timothy spent the majority of his professional career at Nova Southeastern University. Most recently, he was Director of CRM Solutions, tasked with implementing a university-wide software solution to manage the recruitment and admissions process. He also held several roles in the College of Education including serving as an Assistant Dean/Assistant Professor.

While Timothy worked as the Director of CRM Solutions, he decided to further his education by earning a law degree at NSU’s Shepard Broad College of Law, graduating summa cum laude and Valedictorian. He was Managing Editor of Nova Law Review. He also earned the Highest Grade awards in multiple courses including Civil Pretrial Practice, Professional Responsibility, Business Entities, Evidence, Legal Research and Writing 1 & II, Property, and Torts. While working full-time during the day, he made Dean’s List every semester of law school. He opened his own practice after law school before joining Kelley Kronenberg.

He earned his Bachelor of Science degree, and Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Central Florida, and then went on to earn a Master’s in Computer Information Systems and a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Nova Southeastern.

Timothy is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) and holds advanced certifications in Lexis-Nexis, Westlaw, and is a Black Belt Lean SixSigma.
