Edward Jones

Ed Jones is the current Head of Engineering at Kelpi, a company specializing in sustainable biomaterials with a seaweed-based coating for various products. Prior to Kelpi, Ed worked as a Postgraduate Researcher at the Centre for Sustainable Chemical Technologies, focusing on marine biorefinery projects. Ed also has experience as a Senior Process Engineer at Etex Building Performance and as a Process Engineer at SINIAT, where Ed led projects for process improvement and quality enhancement. Ed's engineering journey began with a student position at AstraZeneca, where Ed gained hands-on experience in manufacturing support and process improvements. Additionally, Ed has contributed to genetic research at the University of Exeter Medical School and the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Trust. Ed holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical Engineering from the University of Bath, along with a Master of Research in Sustainable Chemical Technologies and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
