Liesbet Thijs

Liesbet Thijs is an experienced professional in the field of biochemistry and marketing, currently serving as Associate Director of Marketing and Global Strategic Portfolio for Enzymes at Kemin Industries since December 2013. Previous roles at Kemin Industries include Scientist, Global Platform Leader for Enzymes, and Exploratory Research Project Leader, focusing on managing projects to develop new products and services in collaboration with external competence centers. Prior to this, Liesbet Thijs worked as an Associate Scientist in R&D and Regulatory Affairs at Kemin Europa NV from February 2009 to December 2013, and completed a PhD in Biochemistry at the University of Antwerp, where the research focused on globins involved in oxygen sensing and cell protection. Liesbet Thijs also holds an Executive MBA from Antwerp Management School, earned between 2020 and 2022.
