R. Sureshkumar is the current President of Animal Nutrition and Health for [Kemin Industries](/org/kemin-industries) in India. R. has over 25 years of experience in the animal health and nutrition industry. Prior to their current role, R. Sureshkumar was a Regional Technical Manager for Intervet from 1999-2002 and a Regional Manager for Hoechst Roussel Vet from 1997-1999. R. began their career as a Production Manager for Selvam Broilers Pvt Ltd in 1994. R. Sureshkumar has a passion for animal health and nutrition and is dedicated to their work in improving the lives of animals around the world.

R. Sureshkumar has a M.V.Sc in Veterinary Preventive Medicine, Epidemiology, and Public Health from Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University as well as a B.V.Sc in Veterinary Science and Animal Health from the same school.

R. Sureshkumar

Lorenzo Cavallaro is the General Manager of Kemin Crop Technologies, a role he assumed in January 2022.

Lorenzo began his career at Kemin in 2017 as the General Manager of Kemin Cavriago. During his tenure, he led the Cavriago Team to deliver several successful projects and contributed to the site's transformation into a center of excellence for encapsulation technology.

With 20 years of professional sales and managerial experience, he held several positions in the U.S. and Europe before joining Kemin. His primary area of expertise has been in plant nutrition.

Lorenzo received a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in agricultural business management and a Master of Science degree in food industry management and marketing, both from the University of London in Ashford, Kent, UK.

Lorenzo is now relocated to Kemin worldwide headquarters in Des Moines, Iowa, U.S.

Lorenzo Cavallaro

Kannan Raghavan is worldwide vice president of human resources, a position he assumed in 2019, after 18 years with Kemin Industries.
Kannan began his career at Kemin in 2001 as a Customer Laboratory Services chemist for Kemin Animal Nutrition and Health – South Asia, based in India. He went on to serve as associate manager, then manager, of Kemin Animal Nutrition and Health – South Asia’s Customer Laboratory Services. He was subsequently promoted to product manager for TOXFIN™ and the business unit’s entire product portfolio for layers. Kannan then took on the role of general manager of marketing and aqua sales for the business unit. In 2017, he became director of marketing and aqua business for Kemin Animal Nutrition and Health – South Asia.

Prior to joining Kemin, Kannan spent five years working as a quality control chemist in animal feed production and spice exports.

Kannan received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Bharathiyar University in Coimbatore, India and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Indira Gandhi National Open University in New Delhi. Most recently, he earned his diploma in Strategic Human Resource Leadership from Cornell University.

R. Kannan

Karen Li is vice president of worldwide marketing, a role she assumed in June 2021. Prior to this position, she was marketing director for Kemin Animal Nutrition and Health – China.

Before joining Kemin Industries, Li held various leadership positions at DSM and General Electric in China, serving across multiple functions, including marketing, market and key account development, business innovation incubation, mergers and acquisitions and private equity. Li has experience in both business-to-business and business-to-consumer industries. Previously, she worked for Coca-Cola in China and Towers/Russel Investment Consulting in Australia, where she drove business and market development through cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.

Li earned a Bachelor of Commerce in marketing and finance and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sydney in Australia. She received a graduate diploma from the College of Laws and was an admitted legal practitioner in New South Wales, Australia.

Karen Li

Dr. Malek Abdelqader is general manager of Kemin Biologics, the company’s newest business unit focused on reducing the use of antibiotics by developing animal vaccines as the first line of defense against disease. Dr. Abdelqader assumed his current role in 2020.
Dr. Abdelqader spent a decade with Kemin Industries before becoming general manager of Kemin Biologics. He joined Kemin Animal Nutrition and Health – EMENA (Europe, Middle East, North Africa) as a technical services manager for the ruminant business in the Middle East and North Africa. Three years later, he was promoted to area sales manager for the Gulf States and Levant region. In 2016, Dr. Abdelqader became regional sales manager for the Middle East, eventually adding Russia to his territory. He most recently served as commercial director for the Middle East and Russia.
Dr. Abdelqader received his bachelor’s degree in veterinary medicine from Jordan University of Science and Technology in 2000. He earned his master’s degree in animal science from McGill University in Canada and completed his doctorate in animal science at South Dakota State University in 2009. Dr. Abdelqader stayed on at the university as a post-doctoral research associate before moving to University of Alberta in the same capacity. 

Malek Abdelqader

Leo Xie-Lei is president of Kemin AquaScience™, which launched in early 2018 to deliver sustainable solutions to the aquaculture industry as it shifts from wild-catch to farmed fish, shrimp and other species. Kemin AquaScience™ provides aqua feed producers, premix producers, farmers and raw material suppliers a wide range of products to meet the needs in aquaculture, feed production and fishmeal stabilization, as well as on-farm solutions and technologies.
Xie-Lei joined Kemin Industries in late 2018 as chief commercial officer for Kemin AquaScience™. He also served as regional director for China, building the Kemin AquaScience™ business there from the ground up. He assumed his current role in 2020.

Xie-Lei has spent the last decade in leadership positions in the nutrition and food industry. Prior to joining Kemin, he served as president of Asia Pacific for Royal DSM NV’s Food Specialty Business Group. He also held several senior positions with DSM in the China, the Asia Pacific region and Europe.
Xie-Lei earned his bachelor’s degree from Shanghai University in China and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from RSM Erasmus University in the Netherlands. 

Leo Xie-Lei

Dr. Hai Meng Tan is president of Kemin Animal Nutrition and Health – Asia Pacific. He has been with Kemin for more than 20 years, spending the last six in his current role.

Dr. Tan spent his first decade at Kemin Industries as vice president of research & development. He was senior vice president of sales before assuming his current position. 

Dr. Tan has made many significant contributions to Kemin over his years of service and has been recognized with esteemed internal awards for his outstanding achievements. He was given the R.W. Nelson Medal for the patented products CLOSTAT™, KEMZYME Multi-Protease™ and Myco CURB® Extend, and was named Kemin Worldwide Outstanding Executive of the Year in 2009.

Under Dr. Tan’s leadership, Kemin in Asia has been awarded the 2021 SBR International Business Award for a company in agriculture and the AmCham Singapore CARES Distinction Award in 2018 through 2021. In 2018, Kemin in Asia was also recognized by SIM Best Talent Management Practices and was named one of the Best Companies to Work for in Asia by HR Asia in 2017. In 2019, Dr. Tan was conferred as Leading CEO at the Singapore HR Awards.

Prior to joining Kemin, Dr. Tan was a tenured associate professor of microbiology at the National University of Singapore.

Dr. Tan received his doctorate in microbiology from King’s College in London.

He has served as a member of the Singapore Science Centre Board, the Nanyang Polytechnic Food Science Committee and the Lakeside Family Centre Management Committee.

Hai Meng Tan

Giuseppe Abrate is the Food and Human Group President for Kemin Industries Worldwide. In his current role, Abrate leads the divisional presidents of Kemin Food Technologies (North America and Latin America; Asia; Europe, the Middle East and Africa); Kemin Nutrisurance, the company’s pet food and rendering technologies division; and Kemin Textile Auxiliaries. Abrate maintains a specific and dedicated focus on working with the Food and Human Group divisional presidents and executive teams worldwide to identify areas across all global markets where business units can most benefit and achieve accelerated growth.

Abrate began his career at Kemin in 1993 as country manager of Italy, based in Mantova, Italy. He became pet food manager for southern Europe, based in Barcelona Spain, in 1999. In 2000, Abrate was named pet food sales director for Europe, Africa and South America, and was based in Herentals, Belgium. A year later, he added agribusiness sales director for western Europe to his job title. In 2004, Abrate became pet food president, South America, based in Indaiatuba, Brazil. A year later, he became president of Kemin Nutrisurance, based in Des Moines, Iowa, U.S. Abrate assumed his current role as Food and Human Group President in 2014.

Prior to joining Kemin, Abrate was the owner of Alpifood S.n.c. in Trinitá, Italy; Alpifarma S.r.l. in Fossano, Italy; and Fraire Pharmacy in Busca, Italy. Abrate rejoined Kemin after leaving for a short time to work in Avignon, France, as general director of SESA, a pet food company.

Abrate received his Ph.D. in chemistry and pharmacy from the University of Torino in Turin, Italy. He is fluent in English, Portuguese, Italian, Spanish and French.

Giuseppe Abrate

David Raveyre was named group president in 2019. He oversees operations, procurement, and engineering worldwide, as well as the global Human Nutrition and Health business unit and the Animal Nutrition and Health business unit in South America.

Raveyre joined Kemin Industries in 2014 as president of Kemin Nutrisurance, the company’s pet food and rendering technologies business unit, and served in this role until taking on his current position.

Prior to joining Kemin, Raveyre worked for Royal Canin/Mars Inc. in France and Toronto, Canada. He began at the company in 1997 as the information system purchasing manager. Raveyre transitioned to raw materials purchasing manager in 2000 before becoming global procurement packaging director in 2006. Two years later, he was named global procurement senior vice president. Raveyre was promoted to North American Royal Canin senior vice president in 2012.

Before working at Royal Canin/Mars, Inc., Raveyre was a fermentation flows manager in the Obernai, France, brewery for Kronenbourg, now part of the Carlsburg Group.

Raveyre earned his bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry from Joseph Fourrier University in Grenoble, France. He also holds a food industry engineering degree from the Institute of Engineering Sciences of Montpellier in France.

David Raveyre

Elizabeth “Libby” Nelson was born in Des Moines, Iowa, the second of R.W. and Mary Nelson’s five children. As a child, Libby loved to play softball, basketball and read. When she was in seventh grade, Libby decided she wanted to be a lawyer. She finished her undergraduate work at Washington University in St. Louis in 1977, and graduated from Drake Law School in 1980. She took two bar exams, one in Iowa and one in Wisconsin, and began working for a trust company in Milwaukee. 

Her home state called her back in 1981, and Libby began one of several stints working for the State of Iowa. After working for the Department on Aging, she clerked for a federal bankruptcy judge. In 1984, she joined the Attorney General’s Office, representing the Department of Revenue on tax issues. Libby then entered private practice, performing transactional law, litigation, debtor-creditor work, real estate law and corporate governance. She returned to service with the State as an administrative law judge focused on the area of workers’ compensation, and the primary mediator for resolving disputes between claimants, employers and insurance carriers. 

Libby then moved on to increased responsibilities with the Attorney General’s Office, representing the Iowa Lottery, General Services, the Iowa Communications Network, the treasurer, the auditor, the Higher Education Loan Authority and the Iowa Finance Authority. She left the State in 2001 and joined Kemin Industries as chief legal officer. She is currently vice president and general counsel, responsible for intellectual property and regulatory affairs, audit, administrative services and environmental health and safety.

Libby is a member of the Kemin board of directors, on which she also serves as an officer. She is a Youth Emergency Services & Shelter of Iowa (YESS) board member and chair of the Continuum of Care Committee. She is also on the board of trustees for Drake University. Libby is admitted to practice law in the State of Iowa and the State of Wisconsin and before the federal district courts in both states. She is a member of the Iowa and Wisconsin Bar Associations.

Elizabeth Nelson

Marc Scantlin is president of Kemin Food Technologies, North America and Latin America. In this role, Scantlin oversees all shelf life, flavor, color and food safety solutions for the North America and Latin America food markets.

Scantlin began his career at Kemin as worldwide director of human resources. He developed career ladders to provide all employees, ranging from entry level to executive, with a clear and objective path for future growth. Scantlin also designed and initiated an international selection system that reduced involuntary turnover.

Prior to rejoining Kemin in his current role in 2015, Scantlin was president of Eurofins Microbiology Laboratories, Inc. He led all microbiological and dairy chemistry testing, dairy standards development and special investigative testing services in the U.S. food sector. Scantlin formulated strategy to launch and significantly grow microbiological testing in the U.S., expanded Eurofins microbiology testing to independent laboratories and grew net sales by 2,000 percent in five years.

A United States Air Force Captain, Scantlin served as section commander of the 30th Security Forces Squadron at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California and the 7th Airborne Command Control Squadron at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska.

Scantlin received his bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University and his master’s degree in managerial economics from the University of Oklahoma.

 

Marc Scantlin

Marsha Bro serves as President, Food Technologies, EMEA and was promoted to this role in 2022.

Having held various leadership positions within Kemin, Bro was previously the General Manager for Kemin Crop Technologies, a business unit dedicated to bringing environmentally friendly pest control and plant health technologies to the agricultural industry to ensure that future generations have access to a healthy, sustainable food supply. During that time, she successfully led the team and business from its initial concept stage into a fast-growing and sustainable business for the multinational ingredient company.

Bro first joined Kemin in 2002 as an accounting intern for Kemin Human Nutrition and Health. After joining Kemin full-time post-graduation, for more than a decade, Bro has held various management roles in finance, global business intelligence, and marketing. During that time, she played a pivotal role in launching Kemin Personal Care before moving into a strategic marketing leadership role in 2016 and then moved to the Kemin Crop Technologies division.  

Bro received her bachelor’s degree and her Masters of Business Administration from Drake University in 2003 and 2009, respectively.

Marsha Bro

Michelle Lim is president of Kemin Food Technologies – Asia, a role she assumed in 2019 after 11 years in finance for Kemin in Asia.

Lim joined Kemin in 2008 as finance director for Kemin Animal Nutrition and Health – Asia Pacific. As a member of the business unit’s leadership team, she provided analysis and insights to build Kemin’s strategy in the market. Lim built a strong and stable finance team while refining processes to help the business unit through a significant growth phase.

In 2011, Lim was promoted to vice president of finance, overseeing finance for Kemin teams in China, India and throughout Asia. She added the Sub-Saharan Africa region to her scope of financial oversight in 2019. While in this position, Lim also participated in various acquisitions, including Kemin’s investment in CRVAB Bio-technology Company Ltd., for which she is now on the board of directors.

Prior to joining Kemin, Lim worked for major accounting firms, including Arthur Andersen and Deloitte, where she was involved in various merger and acquisition transactions.

Lim received her Bachelor of Accountancy, Honors Degree from Nanyang Technological University of Singapore. She is a Certified Public Accountant, and Lim is also a board member of the nonprofit organization Centre for Fathering, Dads for Life. 

Michelle Lim

Daryl Schraad is president of Kemin Animal Nutrition and Health – North America, a position he has held since joining the company in 2012.
Prior to joining Kemin Industries, Schraad was president of AHD, an owner and operating partner for a portfolio of web-based technology and marketing companies that provide sales, marketing and business development solutions to human and animal healthcare companies around the world. Schraad’s also has work experience in executive management positions with other animal healthcare and nutrition companies.

Schraad received his Bachelor of Science in economics from Kansas State University and his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.

Daryl Schraad

Johannes M. Opperman is president of Kemin Animal Nutrition and Health – Sub-Saharan Africa. In this role, Opperman guides the business unit toward its mission to play a significant role in Sub-Saharan Africa’s developing animal nutrition and health industry.
Under Opperman’s leadership, the business unit is developing South, East and West Africa as three regions, each with full local representation in sales and technical support services, while central support and direction comes from Kemin Industries’ regional headquarters and manufacturing site in Johannesburg. Through local presence and focus, Kemin Animal Nutrition and Health – Sub-Saharan Africa provides products and services that fit the diverse needs of its customers and consumers.
Before he took on his current position in 2016, Opperman spent eight years as Kemin’s general manager for South Africa. He was a product manager with Kemin Animal Nutrition and Health – EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) for three years prior.
Opperman started his career in research and product development for ruminant feed, then moved into the vitamin premix industry. Before joining Kemin in 2005, he spent five years in Switzerland in a global marketing role within the pet food additives industry.
Opperman earned his bachelor’s degree in animal science from the University of Pretoria, South Africa.

Johan Opperman

Dr. Stefaan Van Dyck is president of Kemin Animal Nutrition and Health, EMENA (Europe, Middle East and North Africa). He has spent his career with Kemin, assuming his current role in 2018.

After defending his doctoral thesis in organic chemistry, Dr. Van Dyck began working as a chemistry manager for Kemin Animal Nutrition and Health, EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) in 2001. His responsibilities in research and development (R&D) increased over the years, resulting in the development of a wide range of feed additives, such as mycotoxin binders and absorption enhancers. In 2008, he became a member of the Kemin Animal Nutrition and Health, EMEA executive team with responsibility for R&D, quality control/quality assurance, regulatory affairs and customer lab services. He was appointed global R&D director for all Kemin Animal Nutrition and Health divisions in 2010. In 2013, he moved into marketing as vice president. A year later, Dr. Van Dyck became president of Kemin Food Technologies, EMEA, a position he held prior to his current role.

In 2008, Dr. Van Dyck became a guest professor at the University of Antwerp, where he currently teaches “Food Chemistry” to students pursuing a master’s degree in chemistry. Dr. Van Dyck has been an invited speaker for several conferences and courses on topics related to functional ingredients such as antioxidants, mycotoxins, enzymes and lecithins, as well as business development and industrial marketing.

Dr. Van Dyck is the author of several peer-reviewed publications and book chapters in the fields of food and feed oxidation and business-to-business marketing. During his tenure at Kemin, Dr. Van Dyck has received several patents for the formulation of functional food and feed additives.

Dr. Van Dyck earned his Ph.D. from the University of Antwerp, where he also obtained his Master of Business Administration from the Management School in 2006.

Stefaan Van Dyck

Dr. Zhilin Gan is president of Kemin Animal Nutrition and Health – China, a position he has held since joining the company in 2004. Dr. Gan has led the growth and development of Kemin Industries’ animal nutrition and health business in China, where he has assembled a high-performing team and created an organizational culture that encourages innovation.

Prior to joining Kemin, Dr. Gan worked at Syngenta Asia Pacific. He was a regional value chain marketing manager in Hong Kong before taking over management of Syngenta Asia Pacific’s commercial business unit in China.

Dr. Gan received both his bachelor’s degree in cereal biochemistry and his master’s degree in cereal science and technology from Zhengzhou Grain College in China. He has a doctorate in food science from King’s College London and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Reading in the United Kingdom.

Zhilin Gan

João Marcelo de Castro Gomes is president of Kemin Animal Nutrition and Health – South America, a position he has held since joining the company in 2019.

Gomes is a highly experienced international business senior executive and a licensed veterinarian. He has a proven record of success in sales, marketing and management in the animal nutrition and health sectors of Brazil and Latin America. Throughout his career, Gomes has concentrated on sales growth, strategy development and execution, customer focus and production differentiation. Gomes also has a solid background in the mergers and acquisitions process and people development.

Throughout his career, Gomes has assumed different commercial, marketing, business development and management positions for several companies, including Bayer Animal Health, Fort Dodge Animal Health, Ceva Animal Health, Vallée S/A and Novus International. Most recently, he served as a general director at VetBR, one of the largest animal health and nutrition distributors in Brazil.

Gomes earned his degree in veterinary medicine from Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro. He is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English. 

João Gomes

Kimberly Nelson is a third-generation member of the Nelson family and general manager of Kemin Nutrisurance – North America.

Prior to her current role, she served as president of Kemin Textile Auxiliaries, which operates under the name Garmon Chemicals. Nelson helped lead Kemin Industries’ acquisition of Garmon Chemicals in early 2018. She held the position of Kemin Textile Auxiliaries’ business development manager and general manager in India, helping to launch Kemin’s entry into the textiles industry. Prior to joining Kemin, Nelson spent five years in marketing in Hong Kong.

Nelson received her bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University. She earned her master’s degree in luxury and fashion management from Savannah College of Fashion and Design. 

Kimberly Nelson

Bruno Palermo

Wood joined Kemin in 2013 as a senior accountant before becoming an accounting manager a year later. The following year, he was promoted to controller for Kemin Animal Nutrition and Health – North America, and in 2015 became finance director for the business unit. In 2018, Wood took on the position of Vice President of Finance for Kemin Nutrisurance, the global pet food and rendering technologies business unit.

Wood received both his bachelor's and master's degrees in accountancy from the University of Iowa. He successfully passed all parts of the Certified Public Accountant exam and serves on the board of [Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity](/org/greater-des-moines-habitat-for-humanity). Wood will be based at Kemin's worldwide headquarters in Des Moines, Iowa, U.S. 

Patrick Wood

Dr. Chris Nelson is president and CEO of Kemin Industries, a global nutritional ingredient company specializing in improving human and animal health through molecular innovations.

For the past 25 years, Dr. Nelson has guided the company as president. Under his leadership, Kemin has grown 10 times in size and now employs more than 2,500 people worldwide. Today, the company has 13 manufacturing facilities in Belgium, Brazil, China, India, Italy, Singapore, South Africa and the U.S. and operates in more than 90 countries. Kemin touches more than 3.8 billion people across the globe every day with products for specific health and nutrition solutions.

In 1980, Dr. Nelson began his career with Kemin as director of research and development. During his tenure, Nelson and his team pioneered the process of isolating and purifying the antioxidant molecule lutein for human consumption in supplements and fortified foods. Researchers have identified the central role lutein plays in human eye health, specifically in reducing risk of age-related macular degeneration, the leading cause of adult blindness. Now, over 60 million people consume lutein daily through supplements and fortified foods. Among the many commercial and scientific advancements at Kemin, this distinguished breakthrough launched the company into new markets.

Dr. Nelson has been described as an industry pioneer, holding 10 patents and authoring numerous peer-reviewed, published research studies. He received his bachelor’s degree at Northwestern University and his Ph.D. in biochemistry and biophysics from Washington State University.

Dr. Nelson was recognized as one of the top 100 CEO Leaders in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) by STEMconnector at the 2013 U.S. News & World Report’s STEM Solutions Summit. Ernst & Young named him Entrepreneur of the Year for Life Sciences in the Central Midwest in 2009. In July 2015, he was appointed by the Governor to co-chair the STEM Advisory Council for a two-year term. He is a board member for a leading international corporation. He continues to have a passion for science education and is serving for a second time as the Board Chair of the Science Center of Iowa. In his first term, he helped lead a successful development effort for construction of the $62 million Science Center. Nelson is also the owner of MedPharm Iowa, the only licensed medical cannabis manufacturer in Iowa.

Chris Nelson

Perhaps no other person in the Kemin Industries family epitomizes the “Kemin cares” core value more than Mary Nelson, who co-founded the now global manufacturing company with her husband, R.W., in a vacant wool barn on Des Moines’ east side in 1961.

Mary has “done it all” at Kemin. Since 1975, she has supervised administrative staff; managed customer service, printing and human resources; acted as a liaison with attorneys on legal matters; managed the Kemin trademark portfolio; served on the board of directors for Kemin and its affiliated family of companies; participated in strategic planning, budgeting, special projects and administrative decisions for U.S. and global companies; and assisted in the presentation of training programs for sales personnel worldwide.

With such a range of duties relating to the company’s overall health and wellbeing, Mary lovingly refers to Kemin as her and R.W.’s “sixth child.” The company is also an embodiment of the values the Nelsons instilled in their children, including a moral responsibility for corporate citizenship.

As a member of the Kemin Charitable Contributions Committee, much of Mary’s energy is spent guiding the company’s corporate philanthropic giving. She is devoted to creating a culture that reaches out to the disadvantaged and those in distress, both locally and globally.

Mary graduated with honors from Iowa State College (now Iowa State University) in 1950 with a Bachelor of Science in home economics education. Before joining her husband in the fledgling family business—which was called Chemical Industries Inc. for its first seven years—she taught high school home economics for a year and was a social worker for three years, working closely with about 70 families in the Des Moines area who received Aid to Dependent Children assistance.

Mary Nelson

R.W. Nelson

José Piccolotto is the president of Kemin Human Nutrition and Health. Since assuming the role in 2020, his previous role was the president of Kemin Animal Nutrition and Health, South America.
Before joining Kemin, Piccolotto spent 11 years in sales and marketing for pharmaceutical, retail, technology and service companies, including EMS, IBM and AmCham. Piccolotto has worked in various areas of Europe, the Middle East and Latin America, gaining international exposure and experience in new business development and structuring, as well as company internationalization with a focus on defining strategies, operational guidelines and business startup. From his work in different countries, Piccolotto strengthened his level of adaption and ability to interact in multicultural environments and complex scenarios.

Piccolotto holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Facamp University and a Master of Business Administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas.
