Don Rutz

Don Rutz brings extensive experience in technology and business development within the chemicals and oil & gas industries. Currently serving as Vice President of Technology at Sterling Specialty Chemicals since February 2024, Rutz previously held multiple leadership roles at Kemira from January 2009, including Director of Special Projects and Director of Business and Applications Development, where responsibilities included overseeing applications development and marketing on a global scale to drive sales and profitability growth. Prior to Kemira, Rutz spent 27 years at Cytec as Sales Director and began his career as a Technical Sales Representative at American Cyanamid from 1979 to 1993. Rutz holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Penn State University, earned in 1979.
