Venkatram Mahendraker

Venkatram Mahendraker, PhD., P. Eng., is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in environmental engineering and sustainable water treatment technologies. Currently serving as Director of R&D and Technology at Kemira Oyj since July 2010, Venkatram leads a team focused on innovative solutions for municipal and industrial applications. With a solid academic background as an Adjunct Associate Professor at McMaster University and previous roles at GE Water & Process Technologies, the Pulp & Paper Research Institute of Canada, and several other organizations, Venkatram has demonstrated expertise in managing complex projects related to wastewater treatment, membrane technology, and environmental sustainability. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Environmental Engineering from The University of British Columbia, along with a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Environmental and Mechanical Engineering, respectively.
