Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art
Jessica May currently serves as the Executive Director at the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art since February 2024. Prior to this role, Jessica was the Managing Director of Art and Exhibitions and Artistic Director at the DeCordova Museum and Sculpture Park under The Trustees of Reservations from April 2021 to February 2024. Jessica also held the position of Deputy Director and Chief Curator at the Portland Museum of Art from June 2012 to September 2020 and served as Associate Curator of Photographs at the Amon Carter Museum from September 2006 to May 2012. Earlier in Jessica's career, roles included Jane and Morgan Whitney Fellow at The Metropolitan Museum of Art and Pre Doctoral Fellow at the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Jessica's academic credentials include a Ph.D. and M.A. in Art History, Criticism and Conservation from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Barnard College.
