Ken Bohrer

Ken Bohrer, MBA has a strong background in finance and executive leadership. Ken is currently serving as the VP and Chief Financial Officer at Kemper Life since May 2020. Prior to this role, Ken worked at Global Atlantic Financial Group from 2014 to 2019. During their time there, they held various positions, including Finance Director for Corporate/Operations and Finance Director for the Life Segment. In these roles, they provided financial analysis, strategic support, and executive leadership. Ken focused on KPI reporting, expense management, profitability analysis, and developing financial plans and forecasts for the business. Ken also played a key role in technology development projects, including an online insurance quoting system and web-based reporting platform. Before joining Global Atlantic Financial Group, they worked at Forethought Financial Group, Inc. from 2004 to 2013. There, they held several positions, including Finance Director for the Life Segment, Chief Internal Auditor, and SVP of FP&A and Special Projects. In these roles, Ken demonstrated their expertise in financial planning and analysis, internal auditing, and managing M&A transactions. Ken also worked at FORETHOUGHT LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY, HILLENBRAND INDUSTRIES from 1990 to 2004, serving as the Director of FP&A, Sales Account Manager, and Sales Analyst. Throughout their career, Ken has consistently shown their ability to drive profitability, positively impact financial performance, and provide strategic financial guidance.

Ken Bohrer, MBA, obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing from the University of Cincinnati Carl H. Lindner College of Business in the years 1997 to 2000. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance at the same institution from 1985 to 1990. In 2019, Ken also earned the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (ICBB) certification from Breakthrough Performance Group, LLC.
