Matt M.

Matt M. currently serves as the AVP and Head of Cybersecurity Operations at Kemper, where responsibilities include improving defensive Cybersecurity Operations, Incident Response, and Vulnerability Management while advising the CISO, CTO, and CIO on Information Security matters. Prior to this role, Matt held various cybersecurity positions at Frontier Communications, including building and leading the Cybersecurity Operations Center and expanding operations through team development. Additional experience includes a brief tenure at JCPenney, where a quick collaboration occurred, and earlier roles at Frontier Communications that involved establishing operations and developing cybersecurity tools. Matt's military background includes a 20-year career in the US Navy as a Chief Naval Aircrewman, complemented by academic qualifications including a Master of Science in Information Security from Champlain College and a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Cyber Defense Operations from the SANS Technology Institute.
