Jason Friesen

Jason Friesen has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in finance and executive management. Jason most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer at Kendra Scott since 2020. Prior to that, they held the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Childcare Network, Inc. from 2018 to 2020, where they helped increase revenue and EBITDA double digits. Jason also worked as the Chief Financial Officer at Help At Home LLC from 2016 to 2018, leading a home health care organization serving 55K clients across 12 states.

Before that, Friesen held multiple roles at Career Education Corporation from 2007 to 2015, including Senior Vice President and President/Chief University Group Education Officer, where they developed a transformation plan to improve profitability. Jason also served as the Senior Vice President and President of Health Education Business Unit, responsible for implementing a turnaround plan addressing various challenges.

In addition, Friesen worked at Sears Holdings Corporation from 2005 to 2007 as Vice President of Merchandise Finance and Vice President of Finance - Specialty Retail, where they collaborated with business presidents to improve margins and drive efficiency. Jason also held the position of Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis and led the roll-out of budgeting and forecasting processes.

Earlier in their career, Friesen held roles at Sears, Roebuck and Co., BearingPoint, and Arthur Andersen Business Consulting, where they gained experience in corporate finance, strategy, turnaround services, and key account relationships.

Jason Friesen obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting and Finance from Indiana University between 1985 and 1989. Following that, they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Finance and Marketing from the University of Chicago from 1992 to 1994.
