Kevin Williams

Kevin Williams has a diverse work experience in the field of information security. Kevin currently serves as the Senior Director of Cyber Security at Kendra Scott, a $1B fashion-lifestyle brand. Prior to this, they were the Chief Information Security Officer for the City of Austin. In this role, they managed the security of information and information systems for over 40 City departments and almost 1M residents. Before joining the City of Austin, Kevin held various positions at Rackspace, Frost Bank, Texas Department of Information Resources, Denim Group, and the United States Air Force, where they gained extensive experience in compliance, risk management, and incident management.

Kevin Williams holds an MS degree in Information Systems & Security from Our Lady of the Lake University, which they obtained from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, they earned a BS degree in Software Engineering from the University of Arkansas Grantham between 2002 and 2006. Additionally, Kevin obtained an AS degree in Computer Science from the Community College of the Air Force from 1998 to 2001. Kevin has also acquired several certifications, including Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO) from EC-Council in 2017, Internal Security Assessor (ISA) from PCI Security Standards Council in 2015, Information Systems Security Architecture Professional (ISSAP) from (ISC)² in 2014, Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) from (ISC)² in 2008, and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in 2006.
