John Mathu is an Investment Services Officer at the Kenya Investment Authority (KenInvest) since January 2020, bringing experience from a previous role as a Research Assistant at KIPPRA Kenya in early 2022 and as a Data Entry Clerk during the digitalization process in Kenya in 2019. Additionally, John was involved in the 2019 census as an Enumerator at the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics and facilitated the electoral process for the IEBC commission of Kenya in August 2018. John holds a Bachelor of Economics and Finance with a focus on International Economics from Kenyatta University, where studies commenced in 2015 and concluded in 2019. Currently, John is pursuing a Master’s degree in Economics at Kenyatta University, expected to complement the acquired skills and knowledge in international economics.

The Kenya Investment Authority is a government agency mandated to promote and facilitate investment in Kenya by both domestic and international investors. Our functions include; > Promoting available investment opportunities in investment in Kenya. > Assisting investors to obtain necessary licenses, permits and incentives or exemptions under various Acts and other regulations; > Reviewing the Investment environment and make recommendations to Government and other facilitators with respect to both policy and regulatory changes that would promote and facilitate investment.
