Michael Kennis has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Michael began their career as a Retail Training Manager at NSW Lotteries (Tattersals) in 1999, where they were responsible for lottery agent training, managing the retail agency rewards and recognition program, and developing training courses. In 2012, they joined Fantastic Holdings Limited as a Learning & Development Manager, a role they held for four years. In 2016, they became a Tour Guide/Driver at FJ Tours before transitioning to their current role as the Head of Learning and Development at Kennards Hire in October 2017.

Michael Kennis has a Graduate Diploma in Adult Education from the University of New England (AU). Prior to this, they attended St Joseph's College Hunters Hill, but no specific degree or field of study is provided for this education.
