Jeanne Alter

Jeanne Alter has been working in the field of education for over twenty years. Jeanne began their career as a teacher at HASC - The Hebrew Academy for Special Children, Inc. where they quickly rose through the ranks to become the Chief School Administrator. In 2007, Jeanne left HASC to become the Executive Director at Lifespire - BOLD Preschool. Jeanne held this position for three years before moving on to The Shield Institute in 2010 where they served as the Associate Executive Director. Jeanne is currently the Executive Director at Kennedy Children's Center.

Jeanne Alter has a Bachelor's degree in Education/Teaching of Individuals in Early Childhood Special Education Programs from Boston University, a Master's degree in Special Education and Teaching from New York University, and an Advanced Certificate in School Administration and Supervision from Brooklyn College. Jeanne is currently enrolled in Columbia Business School's Senior Leaders Program for Nonprofit Professionals.
