Melissa Trovato

Melissa Trovato is an accomplished medical professional specializing in Pediatric Rehabilitation. Currently serving as an Associate Professor of Clinical Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine since November 2022, Trovato also holds the positions of Director of Pediatric Rehabilitation and Director of Inpatient Rehabilitation at Kennedy Krieger Institute, a role undertaken since July 2010. In addition, Trovato has been a CARF Program Surveyor for The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities since January 2016. Previous experience includes fellowship training in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine at Kennedy Krieger Institute from August 1999 to August 2001, and serving as Chief Resident during residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Sinai Hospital/Johns Hopkins School of Medicine from July 1996 to June 1999. Trovato holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from UT Health San Antonio, earned between 1990 and 1994, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Salem College, completed in 1990.
