Kennedy Van der Laan
Daan van Lier is an experienced legal professional currently serving as an Advocaat at Kennedy Van der Laan since February 2022 and as Assistant General Counsel Operations on secondment at Nike from May 2024. Previous experience includes roles as an Advocaat at Van Diepen Van der Kroef Advocaten, Senior Corporate Officer at SGG Group, and Legal Counsel at bunq, where responsibilities encompassed various areas of law such as AML/KYC, compliance, contract law, corporate governance, and data protection. Daan has also gained experience through internships at Baker & McKenzie and GMW Advocaten, as well as serving as a researcher for the National Rapporteur on Trafficking in Human Beings and Sexual Violence against Children. Daan holds a Master of Laws in Public International Law and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Amsterdam, along with an exchange degree from Universitร Bocconi and a Bachelor of Arts in New Media & Digital Culture.
